Management Faculty Position

Job Summary:

Carthage College invites applications for a non-tenure track three-year renewable appointment in Management to begin August 2019. The ideal candidate will join colleagues in teaching undergraduate courses targeted to BUS 1110: Introduction to Business and Technology and possibly other management-related courses, depending on the candidate's expertise. All areas of Management and Business will be considered as this course provides a broad overview of the business world, and includes training in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

The successful candidate will be a teacher-scholar who will: (a) teach undergraduate management courses, primarily the introductory course; (b) be available for student course consultation; (c) serve as an advisor for undergraduate majors; (d) and participate in service activities for the college, industry, and/or the community. An appropriate masters-level or doctoral degree, or ABD, from an AACSB-accredited program is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in operations management. The faculty of the College is strongly committed to the liberal arts tradition and interdisciplinary work. The candidate will join the faculty of the A. W. Clausen Center for World Business (http://www.carthage.edu/clausen/) working with colleagues from across the College.
